So it's taken some time in the making and after searching high and low I am very excited to bring you my round up of the top Christmas gifts to make yourself!
Continuing with my love affair with macaroons why not try making these gorgeous little treats? Play with the colours and wrap-up in beautiful tissue paper. Yum yum yes please I am going to go mad with the colours!
Make some gorgeous homemade chocolate dipped marshmallows with Katie Goodman. These look so pretty and would look fab wrapped up in a cute paper bag tied with some pretty ribbon. See them here.
Homemade chocolate truffles. Need I say more? My advice would be to follow this recipe exactly and make the 3 different versions as visually they all compliment each other and also go for the blue tissue paper as chocolate brown looks really good with this colour. Tie your box with ribbon and add a handmade tag.
Not everyone has a sweet tooth so why not spend a couple of hours filling your kitchen with Spiced apple chutney aromas! Tie jars with ribbons and 'made with love' hand written tags.
Martha Stewart never fails and with these peppermint candy sticks you won't to!
I love this idea! A pre-made cookie mixture in a jar. In fact I might just make a dozen or so for my own kitchen cupboard for those occasions when only a chocolate biscuit will do!
If you are planning on gifting cookies adorn them with these oh so cute labels from Tangarang. They are free and you just print and go!
Gingerbread caramels! Yum!
White-chocolate and cherry shortbread. I have fallen in love with the colours!
Make an envelope cushion with Kirstie Allsop. After trying this out you will never look back and wonder why cushions cost so much when this is so simple to make! Try to make 2 cushions if you are giving as a gift. I love embroidering words onto my cushions with scraps of fabric. Maybe one cushion could say 'LOVE' and the other 'YOU' or perhaps someones name, their date of birth in sequins or scent the cushion with some lavender from the garden...the list is endless! Take me to Kirstie!
Tea cup candle! Sooo simple yet so effective. Source a beautiful tea cup set from a charity shop, fill with wick and wax and voila! Full instructions here!
Decoration
On my gifting travels I came across some amazing make-your-own decorations. So technically these aren't gifts as by the time you give them it will be too late but anyhow they are lovely!
A spool advent calender. A bit of time and effort but this can be taken out every year and displayed with pride!
This project was posted for Thanksgiving but I don't see why it can't translate into a Christmas decoration. Maybe omit the blue leaf and use more Christmasy colours.

Feeling Christmasy yet?
Christmas is definately in full swing in London Town. The shops are playing the music and the mince pie tastings in M&S have started! This week I was on a shoot for The Daily Mail wrapping presents and dressing Christmas trees. I still find it fun even though I have been doing festive shoots since May!
Today I have been proping for a job and I thought I would share the mayhem of my house at the moment with you!
Have a merry weekend :)

Bath time!
I don't know about you but as the nights get shorter I am dreaming of hot chocolate and long hot baths. Here are a few to give you some inspiration.

Chandeliers with a twist
Today I am loving chandeliers. This quirky number is from graham and green. I have to say it's these sorts of things that I look at and think 'yeh sure I could make that'...but I think in theory I think it would be quite hard!
SCP have designed this beauty. I love the idea of having my own random bits of paper to attached to a light.
Check out these beauties from Madeleine Boulesteix (I'm a big fan of hers)
and finally I love this feather chandelier from Haldane Martin. There is something so decadent about it. (I am turning a blind eye to the dusting scenario though).
I sometimes think chandeliers have a bad reputation and just conjure up images of cut glass and fake candlesticks. Did you spot anything you like?

Portobello Market - Colourlicious!
Here are some of my snaps from a weekend trip to Portobello Market in London. I love the colours of the houses and I have visions of neighbourhood meetings where everyone thrashes it out to decide who gets to paint their house which colour so that they all coordinate! I personally would be up there demanding a raspberry pink! What colour would you have?
