Christmas Styling - A few ideas and behind the scenes!
Back in the Summer I styled a Christmas shoot with the lovely photographer Catherine Dorsen. I hope you enjoy the results and check out the last image for a sneaky peek behind the scenes...!

Food styling
I've been doing lots of food work recently which has been great fun (not so great for my waistline though!). I'm looking forward to sharing the results in the Spring when they are published.

Vintage Floral Wedding Shoot
Do you remember back in July I blogged about some of my work in Wedding Magazine? Well I thought you might like to see the rest of the shoot.
The flowers were provided by Scarlet and Violet and I love their wildflower vintage look.
Betsy the dog stole the show!
The gorgeous venue was the private members club Blacks in Soho, London.

House & Garden Magazine - Chelsea Design Harbour - The New Luxe
Working with the Design Centre was very inspirational and with all the fabrics, furniture, wallpapers and paints on offer I was like a kid in a sweet shop. So here are some of the results. You can see the feature in full in the October issue of House & Garden Magazine out now.

Scabious flowers
It's been a bit of a crazy busy month for me but I thought I would drop in to say hello! I've been busy working on a Christmas marketing campaign for a toiletries company which will be appearing in pretty much all the monthly and weekly glossies in the run up to Christmas so exciting stuff! I've also been working on a couple of projects for some big marketing companies along with an editorial shoot which will be out next year. Today was my first day off in a long time so I've been busy sorting out all my props and catching up with everything!
I thought I would share the image above of Scabious flowers which are definitely my flower of the month!
pssstt - I've finally setup a work facebook account so please feel free to 'friend' me :)

Neo Bankside
Here are a couple of images from a shoot that I was commissioned to style for the new Neo Bankside residential development on London's Southbank. The location was amazing with the Tate Modern next door and views over the Thames towards St Paul's Cathedral. It was a great team on the day (big thanks to my lovely assistant Eloise!).

Blue Skies and Vintage China
Lovely blue skies in London this weekend and here are a few snaps! Lots of exciting projects have kept me away from blogland recently but slowly things are coming together. I can't wait to share with you some of the things that have been going on!
On another note I thought some of might like to know (if you don't already) that the amazingly talented (and rather lovely!) photographer Debi Treloar has just started a blog called Double Exposure. One to add to the blogroll I say. For those of you interested in photography Debi is thinking about running some courses and is asking anyone who is interested to send her an email. What a great idea!

Pottering
Snaps from my weekend pottering around the garden! Hope you all had a peaceful weekend :) I can't believe how quickly the last few weeks have gone. A couple of big commercial styling jobs have been keeping me busy. It's also press show season so along with the stylist Jo Thornhill (check out her blog here) we ambled up to central London to check out Rachel Ashwell's new range for House of Fraser and oh my its lovely. The range which includes some really beautiful painted furniture launches in the Autumn so keep your eyes peeled.
I have also been working with the very talented interiors photographer Sarah Hogan. Do check out her portfolio at here and also on her agents website Era Management. At some point I will be show you what we have been working on!

Deckchair Days
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. The weather here was amazing and I spent many hours lounging in the deck chair in the garden (a car boot find and it was too hot to do anything else at times!). On Sunday my friend Lesley a textile artist took me treasure hunting at Ascot car boot sale and then for a tour of Windsor. It was fun to see all the Royal Wedding prepartions for Friday going on and it was so good to get out of London into the country.

Blossom and a Birthday
I have been meaning to get out and photograph the blossom on the trees for a few weeks now. I woke up at silly o'clock this morning (not intentionally I might add!) so I headed out with the camera and took these snaps of the flowers at the end of my road. Isn't blossom sooo pretty? I am actually considering moving my wedding day to coincide with the blossom season...is that sad? Perhaps not for a stylist :) That's what I am telling myself anyway!
On another note it dawned on me that I have been writing this blog for a year tomorrow! Wowza! Thankyou so much for all your comments, emails and general loveliness :)

Weekend Treasure Hunting
This weekend was spent treasure hunting again. As the days grow longer it's a little bit easier to get out of bed early to head to my local car boot sale and last weekend's event turned up trumps. You might remember back in January I did a post about Botanical prints and discovered my love for Redoute prints. Well I found the antique lovelies above hiding under someones table and with a quick haggle I handed over £5. I don't really like the frames so at some point will find something nice for them to stay in.
I also came across a lady who told me her late mother was a hoarder with good taste and she was slowly going through her loft and selling the treasures that she had gathered over the years. I bought lots of vintage vases and old sweetie jars for another £5 from her (I am calling them sweetie jars but they were probably used for something else!). I love the way they are all cloudy, some chipped, some scratched etc I think it gives them a bit of life and history. Apparently one of them is from the Georgian period...I love that.
The last of my purchases was the lovely antique woven pink and cream blanket for a snip at 50p! Unfortunately my cats Missy & Boosh have already claimed ownership of it!

Spring has Sprung - Happy Weekend
So Spring has finally sprung! Isn't it so much easier to wake up with the light instead of an alarm? Me and the hubby-to-be have been busy getting the garden ready for the warmer weather. We are really lucky to have quite a large garden (for London) where we can grow fruit and vegetables and so all my seeds have been planted and are currently propagating in our little greenhouse ready to be planted out. I decided to grow some flowers this year aswell including some cute sweet peas and poppy's. I can't wait for them to come out!
I loved these flickr images above and I think they go so well together don't they? I would encourage you to visit the photographers photo streams (links below). There is so much talent out there! I am sure im not the only one to spend hour upon hour discovering amazing new photos on flickr now...am I? ;)
Have a lovely weekend!

Blooms in my home
I thought I would share with you some snaps of some flowers that I bought home from a Laura Ashley shoot yesterday. I am so in love with ranunculus at the moment. I bought the wedgewood vase (last photo) last weekend for a snip at £4! Oh how I love my local car boot sales!

Some Foodie Shots - Vintage Easter
Today I finally got round to learning (or at least starting to learn!) how my camera works. I did some Easter inspired foodie shots. I was so focused on the camera aperture, white balance etc (the mind boggles) that I found it quite difficult to keep an eye on the styling - there are definitely things that I would have changed. But anyway it's a start and I hope you like them :)

My work featured on Living Etc Magazine Blog
Hello Lovlies,
I hope you all had really good week? I wanted to do a quick little post as I am very excited to tell you that my work has been featured on the Living Etc Magazine Blog. You can check it out here. They have also included some of my new work.
It feels really weird and at the same time exciting for me because one of my first ever assistant stylist jobs was for Living etc. I remember walking into the location house where the shoot was taking place and meeting everyone and feeling so excited and thinking this is where is starts! and it did! and now little old me has been featured on their blog! Wowza!
Wishing you a lovely weekend whatever you may be doing
Rebecca x
